Introduction:
This story is a retelling of the famous fable “The Hare and the Tortoise”. It teaches us important life lessons about patience, hard work, and humility. Through interesting characters and meaningful messages, the writer shows that success comes to those who remain steady and focused.
THE HARE AND TORTOISE
Once there was a hare and a tortoise . The hare used to taunt and tease tortise for his slow pace and laziness(every body has his own time zone) . Tortoise used to be content with what he did(contentment is the end of life ) . Hare was very agile and speedy(never be proud of one skill) . He never missed a single chance to tease him . One day the tortoise decided to pay him in the same coin .(Sometimes you are forced to come out of your comfort zone). He asked the hare to run a marathon(it is a long distance footrace of 26.2 miles that has its roots in Greek history .A Greek messenger Pheidippides ran from the marathon to Athens to break news of the victory of the Greeks over Persia). The hare agreed(look before you leap ) . They started the race . The hare took a speedy start and left the tortoise behind(always save your energy for the crisis). After covering a considerable distance the hare decided to take rest(no resting while testing) . He fell into a deep sleep . The tortoise kept moving slowly and steadily . He saw hare slumbering(let the sleeping dogs lie). He kept on his pace . He reached his destination. The hare awakened late . He ran as fast as he could . The tortoise had already won . All his efforts ended in smoke .
